    The maintenance work of a lathe directly affects the quality of parts processing and the level of production efficiency. In order to maintain the accuracy of the lathe and extend its service life, lathe workers should not only be proficient in operating the lathe, but also learn to carry out reasonable maintenance on the lathe. After 500 hours of operation, the lathe must undergo first level maintenance.

    1. Cut off the power supply

    During maintenance, the power supply must be cut off before proceeding with work to ensure safe operation.

    2. Clean the working position

    Clean the work area to ensure cleanliness and sufficient space during the cleaning process

    3. Remove and clean each cover of the machine tool

    Keep the interior and exterior clean, free from rust and oil stains.

    4. Maintenance of knife rest and sliding plate parts

    ① Remove the lower tool holder for cleaning.

    ② Remove the small precision plate screw, nut, and insert for cleaning.

    ③ Remove the middle sliding plate lead screw, nut, and insert for cleaning.

    ④ Remove the dust proof felt from the bed saddle and clean it, then add oil and reinstall it.

    ⑤ After refueling the middle sliding plate lead screw, nut, insert strip, and guide rail, reinstall and adjust the gap between the insert strip and the lead screw nut.

    ⑥ After refueling the small skateboard lead screw, nut, insert strip, and guide rail, reinstall and adjust the gap between the insert strip and the lead screw nut.

    ⑦ Clean the bottom surface of the square knife holder, then apply oil, reinstall, and press it tightly.

    5. Maintenance of Lathe Tailstock

    ① Remove the tailstock sleeve and compression block, clean and apply oil.

    ② Remove the tail screw and nut, clean and add oil.

    ③ Clean and refuel the tailstock.

    ④ Reassembly and adjustment.

    6. Maintenance of the lathe spindle box.

    ① Remove the filter and clean and reinstall it.

    ② Check the spindle and check if the nuts are loose, and if the fastening screws are locked tightly.

    ③ Adjust the clearance between the friction plates and the brake.

    7. Maintenance of the exchange gearbox part of the lathe

    ① Remove the exchange gear carrier gears, sector plates, and shaft sleeves, and clean, lubricate, and reassemble them.

    ② Adjust the gear meshing clearance.

    ③ Check the shaft sleeve for shaking.

    8. Maintenance of feed box

    To clean the feed box, clean the velvet rope, add oil and place it in place, and make up for any missing parts.

    9. Cleaning of the motor

    Clean the main motor and spindle box V-belt pulley, check and adjust the tightness of the V-belt.

    10. Clean the lead screw

    Clean the long wire rod, light rod, and operating rod, and wipe them clean with cotton yarn.

    11. Maintenance of lubrication part

    ① Clean the cooling pump, filter, and liquid tray;

    ② Check if the oil circuit is smooth, and the oil holes, oil ropes, and oil felt should be clean and free of iron filings;

    ③ Check the oil quality, keep it in good condition, have complete oil cups, and bright oil windows.

    12. Maintenance of electrical parts

    ① Clean the motor and electrical box.

    ② The electrical devices are fixed neatly.

    13. Cleaning lathe accessories

    Including center frame, tool holder, exchange gear, chuck, etc.

    14. Organize the appearance of the lathe and machine tool

    ① Install each cover.

    ② Check and complete the screws, handle, and handle ball.

    Precautions for Level 1 Maintenance of Lathe

    1) Be fully prepared. Prepare disassembly and assembly tools, cleaning devices, lubricating oil, plates for placing machine parts, necessary spare parts, etc.

    2) Follow the maintenance steps for maintenance work.

    3) The parts that require disassembly, such as the square tool holder, middle and small sliding plates, and tailstock, must be removed before cleaning, reinstallation, and adjustment.

    4) The dismantled components should be installed in groups, such as screws that need to be threaded with washers and screwed onto the body, and screw screws that need to be hung with nuts.

    5) Pay attention to civilized operation and organize work positions well
