    1. Selection of the processed object before determining the purchase object

    Firstly, it is necessary to clarify the objects to be processed. Generally speaking, parts with the following characteristics are suitable for machining in machining centers: multi process intensive workpieces refer to the use of many cutting tools on a single workpiece. For complex workpiece positioning, such as multi hole machining with a precision requirement for positioning hole spacing, utilizing the high positioning accuracy of machine tools is very convenient to implement. Repetitive production type workpieces are suitable for processing single pieces and small batch production. Small batch refers to the production of 1-100 pieces, with a small quantity per batch but requiring repeated production.

    In addition, even if the shape and size of the workpiece are different, they are also similar workpieces, making it easy to achieve group machining (GT) process parts. Complex shaped parts, molds, aviation parts, and other complex shaped workpieces can be processed with the help of automatic programming technology on the machining center for various irregular parts. Box and plate parts are processed on a horizontal machining center using a rotary workbench to perform multi sided machining on box parts, such as spindle box, pump body, valve body, internal combustion engine cylinder body, etc. If even the top surface needs to be processed in one clamping, the Pentahedron machining center can be selected. Vertical machining centers are suitable for machining box covers, cylinder heads, flat cams, etc. Gantry machining center is used to process large box and plate parts, such as Internal combustion locomotive cylinder block, machining center column, bed, printing wallboard machine, etc.

    2. The accuracy of the selected machining center for machine tool accuracy is classified into ordinary type and precision type. The main accuracy items are shown in the table below: the accuracy items of the machining center are ordinary type (mm) precision type (mm) linear positioning accuracy ± 0.01/full range ± 0.005/full range repeated positioning accuracy ± 0.006 ± 0.002.

    3. The selection of machine tool specifications is based on the determined size of the workpiece to be processed, and the required workbench size of the machine tool and the stroke of the three linear coordinate systems are determined accordingly. The size of the workbench should ensure that the workpiece can be smoothly clamped on it, and the machining size must be within the range of each coordinate stroke. In addition, the limitations of tool change space and interference zones in each coordinate should also be considered.
